Hayes and Draw-Tite offer both inertia and timer activated controls. Timer style controllers can be mounted in virtually an position and do not require leveling. They are generally less expensive than the inertia controllers. Simple 4 wire hook-up makes all of these units a breeze to install. Many later model tow vehicles come pre wired from the manufacturer with a plug in socket under the dash for electric trailer brakes. For these vehicles you can purchase the optional pigtail to make it even simpler to install your new brake control.
