| Electric Powered Trailer Tongue Lift Jacks |
Lifting the tongue of a trailer with a manual jack can be a back breaking job. A 12 volt battery powered electric tongue jack will get the job done with just the flip of a switch.
No need to work up a sweat or skin knuckles when your hand slips.
From a light weight utility or RV camping trailer up to the giant
gooseneck trailers popular today, we have electric jacks that can get the
job done. Atwood Deluxe, Heavy Duty and Marine will fill the bill. Most power tongue lift jacks are a simple bolt on replacement for your existing A-frame mounted hand crank jack. Just make sure your unit has the triangular mounting plate with 3 hole bolt pattern and the center hole in your hitch is large enough to accommodate the jack tube size listed by the manufacturer of the new unit. Your trailer will need to have a 12V
automotive type battery installed and accessible to hook the single power
wire to. Most of the electric trailer jacks come with an inline fuse but
check the particular jack you buy prior to installing. If it did not
include a fuse you will need to add one. An automatic reset circuit
breaker is a better choice. These are inexpensive, easy to wire in and
readily available at most auto parts stores or from our online catalog. |
